It's done. I finally found out how to tint several sides of one object in different ways.
I used the model of my previous deviation. Done in Maya 6

Few things here:
Your ground texture is quite bad i think...you should probably use a solid colour
I think the object would be a bit more interesting to look at if you have the cubes colours mixed up because all of the cubes i've seen on DA are solved ones.
Also, there doesn't seem to be any shadows being case from the cube to the ground. try and fix that.
Keep at it and think about fixing there
